  First Aruba is fantastic, now that’s out of way I did a 3 tank package drift diving on 4 reafs and am a novice (freshly certified paid diver) with virtually no drift experience. Carlos is very serous about safety and spends time with all divers to assess skills and assure they are in right mind set and understanding of what they are doing. His wife was dive master on my dives and is very aware of the entire group pre dive, during and after with advice to those looking to improve and learn. I don’t dive enough and was suffering from a bit of congestion from travel and climate change (i left snow to go to Aruba) so I was definitely in the air hog category. Rather than end dive on my air consumption schedule I got to practice air share diving with buddy while learning to drift over beautiful Aruba coral reefs. Excellent care and attention I will definitely use mermaid dive center when i return next year

  Horrible experience. We paid a babysitter in order to arrange for this experience for my wife 2 boys and I. I was told to wait in front of security at my hotel and someone will pick us up between 12 and 12-15. It was 12-25, and nobody showed, so I went in the lobby to call them. I was talking to someone who started yelling at me, that he was there and waved at me from across the road and I left(probably when I made the phone call). He yelled that I wasted his time and he hanged up. We took a taxi to his business, but he left for the shore. There were few people there, and I asked if they can take us to the boat, but they refused. We booked next next day a trip with ARUBA WATERSPORTS CENTER and we had a wonderful experience. Don't waste your time with those hacks. Probable positive reviews are all fake.

  Hands down, the most professional and knowledgeable shop staff and dive leaders! They put safety first in all things and extensively inspect all equipment multiple times throughout the diving process. Our dive leader Wendy was quick to solve any problems that came up and was extremely patient and encouraging with the divers. I felt safe 100% of the time and will not hesitate to dive with them again the next time we return to Aruba! Thank you Carlos for running a flawless operation!

  Great diving experience! Carlos and Wendy were professional, safe, and very fun to dive with. From the boat captain to the shop hands, everyone on the Mermaid crew made me feel comfortable and involved in all aspects of the trip. I did 8 dives with Mermaid and will 100% be diving with them again if I return to Aruba.

  Guys are very professional, Daniel is super cool! But I did not like the way i was treated. The manager seemed (and is) not pacient to foreign (not American) people and did not gave me a copy of the 7 pages waiver contract he asked me to sign. Not gentle. But the dive was very Fun, safe and professional.
